The main lesson to learn is to never, ever buy a next-gen console until at least 6 months after launch. This gives the manufacturer a chance to fix all the issues & apply upgrades to the hardware & software.

That's the lesson? Really, so in 6 months new gen buyers won't get plenty of game play then?

I feel sorry for the mums and dads who have scrimped and scraped all year to get there son or daughter one of these expensive next gen consoles, will put in under the tree for Christmas and when they open it on Christmas day it's faulty.. That would break my heart as a parent to see my kids face drop.. I hope all parents check them before putting them under the tree, and do the fix.

What would break my heart is giving my kid a brand new ps4 for Christmas, when all I've got is a ps3. I'm finding the vita I've got him tempting as it is.

As mentioned if I had kids I would test before the big day, I know a friend has tested and set all the parental controls on a 3DS for his kid.

Thanks yeah I did! I'm very excited! It's one of my favourite IPs :j I just hope they stick with Drake rather than a new protagonist, Uncharted without Nathan Drake would be like Tomb Raider without Lara, it just wouldn't be the same!
