    Morning All,

    Overcast with showers here today.

Had a pleasant hour or so playing "shop" and balloon hit with DGS. He is eating lunch before going to Nursery.

Not much planned for the rest of the day. Maybe do Christmas present list today to make sure we don't overlook anyone  Most presents have been either bought or we know what they are getting. Parcels have been arriving most days over the last two weeks! Just delighted we are so far ahead of ourselves.

Have a good day everyone

Washing blowing away on the line, it smells so fresh when it's lined rid doesn't it?

Have rejoined gym and doing that every day, plus swimming, scales don't show any difference but clothes beginning to.

Off to see Dreamland in Margate at the weekend, before they start the long awaited renovations, used to love going there as a child.

Eating out of the freezer to make space for home made goodies I will pop in there shortly.

Hugs to those that need them.

    Hi everybody,
Bit chilly here too, though the heating isnt on at the moment.I'll get walking with Lylapup soon and then I'll be boiling when I get in.My niece and little boy called earlier for a coffee, she's on her day off today. She'd already been to the garden centre to look at the displays and reindeer (Bents Julie,I know its your favourite :))She was there when it opened at 8.30!Sometimes they have real reindeer but not today.

I did a few bits of Xmas shopping yesterday so need to put those away before DGD comes tomorrow.DN has given me an idea of what to get for DGN too.

Chicken curry for tea tonight, going to make 2 fillets stretch for the 3 of us as thats whats left from the pack. We've been having more chicken since DS2 moved into his own house as he can't eat it so if we had it I did something different for him so its a bit simpler now.

Sorry to hear of car woes, always seems to happen this time of year

Jools- hope you enjoyed some good memories of Iain x

Luxor- feeling toasty warm is def getting to be a luxury these days :(

On the news last night it said that the economy is in recovery but it certainly doesnt feel like it to me living' oop North',heard of several people who have lost their jobs in the last couple of weeks, and there seem to be loads of offices and shops empty :(

Anyway time for our walk, take care everyone x

I know the feeling - my employers have announced 700 job losses between now & 2016 with 250 to go this time + 100 contracts not to be renewed. I think I am OK this time, but it will get even more squeaky-bum for me next year.

Julie I used to live about 10 minutes walk from Bents, I really miss their Christmas displays now I live 50 miles away :( Although we do have Barton Grange not too far away :)

NAR did you hear any more about your pension yet?
  • Shopping this morning and we managed to get a couple of small bags of coal and some more kindling from Aldi ready for next Wednesday when the stove goes in, I can't wait :)
We are going to pick 100kgs of coal up from the farm shop at the weekend, because our friend has said that we can use his van, I also need a sack of potatoes and some more veggies.
The washing has been blowing on the line all day and it is nearly dry, which is great because I did all the bedding today as well as what was in the wash bin.

floss sorry to hear about the job losses, I can't see where the government thinks that we are in recovery, when so many are still losing their jobs :(.

Floss I posted this yesterday "Well I got good news in the mail yesterday. My pension has been finally agreed and the proposal forms were sent to me. I completed the forms and had the reply in the post within two hours!"

Thanks for asking. I'm pleased that it is getting sorted at long last! :D

Afternoon all, cold here, ch not on though as fire is lighting....does mean that I have to use tablet, which is getting easier but still not comfortable with it, forget the charger and then run out of power.

Reading every day but not posting much, not doing much either, knitting seems to be the only thing that appeals, sleeping too much I know so think thata visit to doc is onthecards.

Sending hugs and positive vibes toall

Some muppet blocked my car in at work so I've not been in long.
WM & DW both filled & running.
I'm watching Tudor Monastery Farm, we've visited the place it's filmed.
When the program's finished I shall make a cake for work tomorrow.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester
