  • Morning,

Another chilly start today, hopefully some sunshine later.
WM is on, DS2 complaining about his jeans not being washed. His choice; he leaves the dirty ones laying on his floor and I only wash what's in the basket!

I did a 'vaguely Morrocan' dinner last night. I adapted a Chicken and Apricot tangine recipe, it turned out quite well and will probably do it again.

I've got to go to the bank today to pay in some cheques and will have a look in Wilkos for some stocking fillers. I think it's about time I started to think about Xmas.

Have a good day everyone :)

    Morning all,
freezing cold yesterday afternoon and so I caved in a wickedly put the heating on as even the 'warm' room felt damp. It was lovely to be properly warm without 4 layers on. If it stays like this I'll be in my thermals two months early :(.

Stopped marking long enough to do a big online shop as we had run out of most things and I had vouchers that needed to be used up.

Back to the grindstone again :p x

    Hi everyone,

Good luck to everyne with mot or other car issues, I hate that.

Feeling a bit down today, tbh I can't wait for 2013 to be over, which is stupid because some good things have happened but they are outweighed by the horrible things, dad died, DS was pushed into a stress related illness, mum has been hospitalised countless times this year, Sis-in-law had a melanoma removed, the dog died and now DD's bf is going through a really hard time at work.

It seems as if I no sooner stop worrying about one member of the family than I have to start worrying about another.

Anyhoo after all the talk about cakes and puds I am going to go and get my fruit etc for mine today. I also want to do more sewing.

    Morning all,

I've already deboned 8 chicken thighs and made hubby a Thai Green Chicken Curry which smells delish. And it's Gluten Free:j
He's so hungry at the moment. I made him four pork stuffing muffins this morning for work and a couple of bananas and he has just text today he has already eaten them:eek:
snoozer I feel similar about 2013 we have lost a couple of dear friends, lots of difficult things have happened, but we have gained a beautiful new granddaughter so not all bad.
julieG what a lovely time of year to have a new baby. My third son was born on 29th November, he 24 this year and I remember it being such a special Christmas that year.
I'm expecting some parcels today and I might get round to doing some wrapping and card writing later.
We are off for a meal to meet my sons gf's parents for the first time next weekend. I'm a bit nervous, they are very posh and I'm not lol. They sound like lovely people so it will be fine, I've got a black dress just need one of those underskirts that come from under your bust and pull everything in:eek:
Anyway onwards and upwards, have a good day x

Blood Transfusion - they have the blood so fingers crossed.

Many thanks to all you kind MSE'ers for donating your life giving blood xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Hi everyone
Sorry but life has been manic since we got back, not even sure why??:o:D;). Maybe not used to doing a lot, but then again I haven't.:o
Managed to fit a Drs. (Minor ailment not worth mentioning) Trip in together with a trip to A$*a, YS stuff, reduced clothing, and an Xmas jumper.:D. After hearing the Super 6 prices on here, I called in the veg shop next door to our A$*a, got some real bargains, 2 large cauli's £1, etc., so sorted out the fresh stuff there.
Today we are collecting the caravan back from the manufacturers after warranty repairs, so hence time to post while travelling!
However, did I find time to work full time+?
((Hugs)), Spoons, Positive Vibes all round. Take everyone. DG

    Morning all!
Today I will mostly be doing as little as possible, will be resting up as the weekend will no doubt be hectic wandering around in London! Clothes are ready to pack, paperwork all printed off, will check in on-line for the flight and we will be all set!
Brother brought a bottle of fizz and we had a birthday drink for Iain, his mum was having a bury your feelings day and announced that we all need to just get on with it, just her way of not coping! I did get some lovely messages from her family.
Right, off to take mum for her shopping, then feet up with my new kindle I think! Mine was kaput, went out to look at a new one and mum paid for it as my Christmas present as she knows how much I use it!
    Have a good day all.
    RIP Iain

Molly posi-vibes, mate.:o Sadly, I'm not allowed to give blood,, but I have great admiration for all who do.

Mr LW is wfh today, so I have him underfoot and wanting his dins at midday. Hence lasagne has been made (enough for tomorrow also, when he'll be on Late shift). Bonnie has been fed and walked - we met Tasha, an elderly dog who lives in the next close - and is now snoring on her day-bed.:D

Joints are *insert rude expletive* painful today; I've had the infra-sound device on my wrists, but they still hurt like anything.:( However, that notwithstanding, two WM loads have been done, plus two tops I had to hand-wash. I just hope it'll all dry!:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
