Orange missed payment help

Hi
I recently changed from a PAYG plan to a pay monthly sim only plan on orange.
I was told at the time (in the shop) that all payments would be collected by direct debit.
However when logging onto my orange online account recently it said I couldn't go any further into my account because I hadn't paid the first £10. I paid it there and then online using my debit card.
But now I'm worried it will count as a late/missed payment on my credit record. The 'bill date' in my online account is 8 Oct. My debit card account shows payment on 10 Nov. Would this be a 'missed payment'?
If this would be a late/missed payment, approx how long it would take to show on my credit file? If it does, is there anything I can do, as I was told the payment would be taken automatically each month!
My online account, paper documentation and online banking (Halifax) show a direct debit has/had been set up.
thanks

It should show up in a month or so - but may appear on Call Credit as I've had a problem with Orange despite TWO written assurances a year ago that there would be no adverse entries because of their !!!!-up. You need to make a FORMAL complaint (they totally ignored the last one of those I made so I waited 8 weeks and then went to CISAS, when Orange immediately conceded on all my demands); this time round the jury's still out.
Presuming you get Orange to correct any external entries (or say there won't be any) wait a couple of months and then check your Call Credit file. In other words, don't simply believe them, whether it's in writing or not!0 -
thanks, what is the Orange complaint address? or should I just use the EE one:
The Complaint Investigations Team
EE
6 Camberwell Way
Sunderland
Tyne and Wear
SR3 3XN
anything on orange just seems to end up redirecting here!
EDIT - found this address on another website
ORANGE MOBILE BROADBAND
Orange Customer Services,
PO Box 10,
Patchway,
Bristol,
BS32 4BQ
is this one still ok to use?!0 -
I was given the first in the last couple of days. You can email instead and save wasting postage; when the email is ignored you can go to CISAS after 8 weeks:-
complaints@everythingeverywhere.co.uk0 -
thanks, i tried the email address however it was returned as undeliverable!
the only other one i can find is customer.services@orange.co.uk so i will give that a try0 -
CISAS gave me that address and I sent another complaint there very recently without it coming back. CISAS will accept the copy to show I sent it - in my experience Orange ignore complaints so you count 8 weeks and then complain to CISAS. Orange will immediately concede to your (reasonable) demands.0
