Anyone doing Shop and Scan?

I do it too - over a year now I think and I love it - although it is rather annoying when it gets to 9.30pm and I realise I haven't done any shopping and I have to rush out to Sainsburys before it shuts!!
If you miss a couple of weeks, get ready for being inundated with phonecalls from them.
It is excellent though - I've had over £100 of Debenhams vouchers which come in really handy!0 -
lvm - if you haven't done any whopping you can still get points by telling them that. There is a tab to click on the site where you would transmit your barcodes.Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700

I did this for a couple of years but they asked for my scanner back because I had been ill and forgotten to send my reading in a couple of times and then they started wanting the receipts scanned. I explained I didn't have a scanner or digital camera to do this so they took me off it.
It was a shame because I used to save my points up until near Christmas for a few treats14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -

I signed up and received the scanner.
But the system requires Internet Explorer to work (really it does; Firefox, Chrome... no joy) which I never use so I had to sort out installing an up to date version just to open the software.
And where I had the image of merrily scampering around supermarkets bleeping away one has to take the shopping home and scan a set of codes and then the items. Since much of my shopping never makes it home because it's for eating on the go, this wasn't going to work.
And then I started getting automated messages by phone, every day, telling me in a chirpy voice that they hadn't yet received any data from me. And as it was from an 0500 number and I only have a mobile phone I wasn't going to call it back to see if I could speak to anyone.
Then a real person called and I explained why I hadn't done anything. He said they would send a jiffy bag for me to return the scanner in, which duly arrived.
I've been working 14+hours per day for the last month and really didn't see sending this thing back as any priority. But in the two weeks since the jiffy bag arrived I have received a reminder note through the post and now another jiffy bag.
I'm sorely tempted to break the thing before sending it back.
Moral is, don't get involved unless you're ready to dedicate a lot of time to it. They're a needy bunch.0 -
im not sure why you think it takes a lot of time to be honest, it takes me around 5 to 10 mins depending on how big a shop a shop i have done, i get home unpack my shopping and scan it all then replace the reciever and its done.
yes they do get in touch if you dont scan often enough or as much as you have stated you normally spend but then thats how they get the information they need so need people to actually scan thier shoppingnow proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0 -
Hi I scanned my first shop this morning and found it straight-forward enough. Where do you send the photo of your receipt. There was no mention of that in my letter.

They're paying you in vouchers to transmit the info that you signed up to send.
It's a shame that you didn't give it a proper go, as I'm pretty sure that they do Food on the Go, or something similar which is a better pay out. So if you'd kept your bar codes & receipts & spent a few minutes you could have earned more.
I scan everything as I unload it, then put away it may take a couple of seconds longer but it's hardly an arduous task.
To me it's easy money & with the surveys they send as well, it's a pretty good earner.Hi I scanned my first shop this morning and found it straight-forward enough. Where do you send the photo of your receipt. There was no mention of that in my letter.

When you open up shop and scan on internet explorer there's a tab to transmit your bar codes & another to submit till receipts.0
