I don't believe in all that stuff.

But do you think the people who peddle it believe in it?
I've often wondered that, do they know they are fooling the vulnerable or do they really believe in that nonsense!

There are quite a few examples where psychics have been caught cheating. Kreed Kafer/Derek Faker being an example. For those psychics, why would they cheat if they believed in it?

I'm sure there are people who believe in it. But, my personal belief is that the more successful ones are the ones who know it's bunkum and are putting on a deliberate show. As those who actually relied on 'messages from the dead' couldn't produce the appearance of accuracy that can easily be achieved through deliberate fakery.

Ebay do allow psychic readings and have done for a number of years, if you go on the site and type in psychic readings you'll see numerous sellers offering readings done from a distance.

They were banned on 20th August 2012. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-19323622

Thanks Rhemmings, ebay said at the in their statement "people continuing to list services in this category after the 30 August 2012 deadline may have their accounts suspended. "

Sticking to the facts about what you can "sell" at ebay , the point in question is the seller has had to list her bogus intangible item under "horse equipment "says it all, there is no category for her special service! Perhaps some " ads " leak through and come up in a search, as overseas ebay.com may not be as on the ball about removing these charlatans ads and disturbing claims, and how they will "email" your purchase through, but the UK reps quickly banish these style of sellers to rid their site of it. Thankfully!

No harm? I'd call false hope and profiteering from vulnerable peoples grief harmful. 'Psychics' often will also use a low-cost loss-leader in order to get further premium work (exorcism, regularly checking in with the pet 'sooki is playing with butterflies and says she still loves you', getting controlling in the human realm). I call harm.
  • I searched psychic readings found another dodgy UK one, a fella this time , and yet he is pretending to be in the USA to sell his fraudulent gimmick in $ huh, so crafty! I actually laughed out loud at the "photos" with angels ie dirty lens and photo enhancing software! This seller uses complete bilge to state something along the lines of you were led to his listing by your spirit it guided you hahaha , wonder if he sniggered when he composed his claptrap description!
