It's an unreasonable expectation that they would change their menu/website every time they temporarily run out of a certain item. To expect them to give you a more expensive one for the same price is a bit daft.
I think you're reading too much into this
it's not a conspiracy. On another note, I have some tin hats for sale. Thinking critically since 1996....0 -

Take your own and pay the £5 - £10 corkage!0

They were fed up with cheap winos ordering it..... so now only want middle class alcoholics ordering.0

By the logic of this thread, if you wanted to buy a top of the range laptop, but the shop was out of stock, you'd have to buy a mid range one but pay the higher price for it.0

According to some posts on here, you should be able to get the most expensive bottle, drink half of it, then return it claiming DSR, and get compensation from the restaurant while bad mouthing them.
If you like wine, then drink good wine. If you want cheap wine, the. Phone the restaurant before hand and ask whet the cheapest tote is that they have in stock, and can they set one aside for you.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?

I've never understood people that buy wine according to price. With most food and drink we buy it because we like the taste - why does wine differ?

So why are they advertising it on their website when they've run out?
Because they will get more stock from their wholesaler when they open .
If they have 12 bottles at 7pm and the first 12 people order this wine then they run out, but wholesales wont be open at that time of night.
just like if Tesco run out of a product they still advertise this as more stock will arrive on their next delivery0
