I found a pound in my washing machine yesterday :)

Hope you've added it to your spreadsheet :p

Under column headed 'Serendipitous discovery of funds which, if not found, could have necessitated expensive repair bill, or major unplanned expenditure on white goods' :rotfl:

    Good news?

Just got the Fidelity Special Values annual report.

Share price up 63% and dividend up 25%. Investment news doesn't get much better than that!
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

it's because of idiot short termism. they'll have forgotten about it tomorrow and think "ooh, these prices look cheap, will have some of that!"

Just goes to show how stupid and idiotic it all is. Back up today. The only people that get rich through it is the brokers.

Haven't all those stupid folk yesterday read Tim Hales book? One of the first rules. Don't make the croupiers rich.

I understand the reason commentators give, that is not the point.

The economy is on the mend after several years of stagnation and investors in British Business can't see that this is good news.

The focus is so tied in to detail that they can't see the big picture.
