We have a 15 month old son and an 8 year old daughter. I'd really like to plan a day out that will appeal to them both (and won't break the bank) during the Christmas holidays but having trouble deciding on something.

Just wondered if anyone had any ideas please? Suspect I need to book ahead for best prices.

How about a Santa Express train ride? We have been doing that with our little man since his very first Christmas (Granted it was mainly for us as his parents....) This year he is going to be 2.5 and loves trains. I think this may be a magical experience for all of you!
