I have now unlocked my Samsung Z720 from the Vodafone network and now seek advice on how to debrand it. I have searches and have come across this link http://www.tad.me.uk/. Can any of the resident experts advise if this method will work or if there is a better way out there. I don't want to be left with an expensive brick;)

cant see why it wont work, but flashing phones will always carry a risk - even with pro equipment (although less so). always make sure battery is fully charged before doing any flashing and back up anything you dont want to lose.0

as drahcir has posted above I fully agree, there are so many pit falls with doing it yourself, I have just had 3 phones dropped on my lap that when doing this have croaked it, I'm now struggling to get them going, make sure the phone is fully charged and remove the sim card !! I've got one back to life but the last 2 I've tried a few things and am about to give life to life 2 them.0

If its on vodafone then it can be done via vodacode, £120 -
I took it to a local shop that does phone unlocking where it cost £10, just need to debrand it now as the phone is still full of Vodafone c**pTherecanbeonlyone wrote: »Hi Oldbill,

if you leave the phone alone everything will be ok.
i was a bit worried when i started reflashing phones just in case i bricked them or selected the wrong settings. once you have done a few, its v. easy0 -
