Just checked latest estimate. £15000 purchased 14th May 2011.
On 22nd March 2016, current value of bonds is £17,179.50, according to NSI calculator.

So the question is to roll over or not? Somehow I doubt inflation can be 0.3% for the next 5 years but who knows? - we may yet get helicopter money as a last resort?

I doubt that RPI will be as low as 0.3% for the next 5 years.

You can always split your bet by renewing partly as a 3-year certificate and partly as a 5-year.

I'm renewing. The coupon now is a derisory thirty bob a year, but if "RPI" (you know what I'm getting at ) rises, it is a hedge - and it has added value for a taxpayer.

I think I'll cash mine in, I'm not at all tempted by RPI (about 1.6%) + 0.01%.

I am leaning towards cashing mine in as well. Especially as there is now a penalty for cashing them in early.

Just have to work out what I would do with it though.
