Just checked latest estimate. £15000 purchased 14th May 2011.
On 22nd March 2016, current value of bonds is £17,179.50, according to NSI calculator.0 -
So the question is to roll over or not? Somehow I doubt inflation can be 0.3% for the next 5 years but who knows? - we may yet get helicopter money as a last resort?0

You can always split your bet by renewing partly as a 3-year certificate and partly as a 5-year.Free the dunston one next time too.0

£17,263.73, or thereabouts? An effective return of 2.85%. It'll be a while until we see the likes of that again0

I am leaning towards cashing mine in as well. Especially as there is now a penalty for cashing them in early.
Just have to work out what I would do with it though.0
