A couple of weeks ago we had multi-screen fitted in my sons bedroom, he's had multi-room in the past, sky gave us a new box so i thought we could put the old sky plus box in our room.

My son told me he didn't have a viewing card in his new box so i rang sky and they said it got cancelled for some reason and would post one out to me.

Received the card today but it says to post the old one back to them, can't i keep it because it went in the old sky + box?

Read the back of the card it is NOT your property to keep.

As you have now received a request for you to post the original back to them, it matters little what happened twelve months ago. Why did your son's new box not have a viewing card?
If you want a Freesat-From-Sky viewing card (to view free-to-air channels) then these are available to purchase from Sky.
