Parking Eye penalty charge notice

Hi.
A friend recently received a penalty charge notice from Parking Eye and they are asking me for advice on it. The violation was apparently an overstay in a Morrison's car park when it should be no more than 2 hours. The penalty charge is for £85 with a reduced charge of £50 if paid within 14 days. An appeal is permitted within 28 days and my friend is still within that period of time.
This happened in England and I am aware that we're no longer supposed to ignore such letters. Could you please let me know if and what my friend can do in order to avoid having to pay this? Or if there are any other details you need to know?
Thanks in advance.

Wait for the Notice to Keeper
Appeal to Parking Eye
Appeal to POPLA
( in that order ). Oh, and read the hundreds of other threads on here about Parking Eye.0 -
Thanks for the reply. So is the Notice to Keeper separate from the Parking Charge Notice (it was received in the post a few days after the date of the parking violation)?0

If she was a customer make sure she goes back to the store with receipts, bank statements or proof via loyalty card (if Morrison's have such a thing), complain to the manager and demand a cancellation.0
