    .............

    4%

    3000 * 0.04 * 0.80 / 12 = £8.

Assuming you can get 2% elsewhere, you are basically doing it for £4/month, or £1/week. I know this is money savings, but the hassle doesn't seem worth it for me.

Banks are often criticised for not offering interest on current accounts and when they do people say it's not worth the hassle. I have my salary paid in at the beginning of the month and it's sitting around as direct debits dribble out. It makes me feel good to see that I'm getting something back, even pennies for having that money lying around.
Yes, it has been a hassle opening the account, but nothing I can't cope with and the seven-day switching means I don't have to change all my direct debits.

I am also quite happy with the 'hassle' but I don't think I would ever use this account for anything but a secondary savings account. A current account, particularly one advertised as an Online account, needs to be a great deal faster to set up, and you need a less farcical CS to manage a current account if you are forced to deal with CS. My application was accepted on October 24 (I applied Oct 21) and although I now got Internet access and money in the account, it is still not fully operational since I am still missing their security token thingy.
