Not sure on thisOriginal term
… any goods delivered to the customer's premises shall be entirely at the purchaser's risk and he will indemnify the company for any loss or damage thereto.
Action taken
New term: [After] delivery of any units to be installed … you will be responsible for their safe keeping and you should make sure that you are adequately insured against any damage or loss which may occur to those units.0 -

the part highlighted , is this not referring to if it is being delivered by the installers to be installed (i.e installers have it delivered on Monday, so they can call first thing Tuesday to install it) as its not too clear on that point.
No idea. It doesn't tell you which company it belonged to, just what the original term was and the action taken.
They are transferring risk (of getting it into the home) to the consumer, but whether its unfairly or not is another matter. Personally, I was surprised to learn theres people who don't expect delivery men to deliver the goods into the residence specified as delivery address. Never heard of them not bringing it into the home - although have heard of them charging extra for heavy items that require 2 people to lift.
Question is, did they pre-advise the customer that they would only deliver to the door and wouldn't take it inside? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Sadly driver should have just said doorstop delivery..... but as a HUMAN being offered to help to position product to customers satisfaction. One wonders why their is no consumer support nowadays...0

Are you saying there should be no comeback because the delivery driver tried to be helpful?
What an odd idea. How far does it extend? If they'd dropped the product delivered and damaged it, would that still be OK? Or what about if they reversed the truck up the drive and backed it through the wall of the house - is that still acceptable because they are a HUMAN being?0
