I've just checked : a year ago I was paying 1.37 for petrol
and last week I paid 1.29
And I wouldn't mind betting that in a few months time you will be paying £1.37 again!
Petrol prices did go down to as low as £1.25 per litre around here but they are already on the up, I honestly don't thing petrol prices a good indicator of inflation or deflation.
Petrol prices fluctuate daily at the whim of speculators and oil companies.0 -

We want the government to stop announcing fiddled inflation.
And so:- they must not include any modern electronic or communication devices (especially anything with Plasma in the name

- they must not include any thing that has a volatile price that might change short term. Presumably that includes all fresh and seasonal food?
