Can I backup my apps to Googlemail account?
Options
Hi all, does anyone know if there's a way to backup my apps on Android to my googlemail account or similar? It's just that I'm changing my phone and having to manually download each and every app is going to be a bit time consuming. I'm using a HTC Sensation XL. Be dead grateful for any advice.

Download "Helium Backup" from the Play Store.
That said, the new phone should download your apps automatically.0 -
It's usually better to download the apps again with a new phone. They vary depending on your version of Android. I would also recommend Helium, I use it for backing up text messages mainly0

Thanks for that - the only problem is that my phone doesn't have the facility for an SD card (so cannot backup to it). I'm interested in what you said about the new phone downloading apps automatically - how does that work?0

When I got my new Samsung Galaxy S3 - i entered my google details into it, and amazingly, all the old apps i'd downloaded on my other phone - they just started to download onto the new phone.
It's quite cool to see it happening0 -
Yeah logging into google on the PC and installing apps on the phone remotely is a good idea.
Unless someone like err me has everyone's passwords. And i keep installing silly things on them of course.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
