Air Malta asking for flight documents from 5 yrs ago

Hi, i submitted a claim for flight delay compensation , with air malta, for a six hour delay going and coming back from manchester - fuerteventura. They have answered my email after 4 months , asking me to forward all documentation of our flight with them . After 5 yrs i have no documentation, only reason we knew it was air malta was because my niece keeps all her boarding pass stubs , and dates them . What should i do about this , has my claim failed already ? Thank you.
