    Morning all
    Damp here today.
Fish fed, hubby has a cuppa in bed & I have one beside me.
I bit the bullet last night and had my hair cut I'm hoping it will stop falling out soon.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

Hester - when I was very poorly about 2 years ago my hair went grey overnight - literally hubby sat and watched it! I also lost ALL my hair on body and loads off my head. It took me a good year for it to grow back but now it has. Now I will have to have my head shorn for op but am looking for a pixie look and will discuss with my hairdresser. She said it is a common stress reaction when your body has been physically ill x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Hello everyone,

I've been on the missing list for a few days, noting exciting to report though :p

Spent a few hours at the hospital yesterday for 16 week blood tests and Bob was messing about at the 12 week scan and the sonographer couldn't do the Nuchal text for Down's syndrome. The lady that took the blood had to have an attempt at each arm before she got anything so now I have a huge bruise on huge first arm :o

I also took DH friend as he tore his Achilles ligament last week and had an appointment to have the plaster reviewed so we had to wait around for him too but it was good to help a friend out ;)

Today Frog has nursery this afternoon and I am meeting the accountant to review the bookkeeping work I have been doing. Just a few questions to sort out the last queries from the previous year. Always a bit nerve racking when someone is asking questions about work you took over from a previous incumbent who did some very odd accounting that needed to be tided up!

Dinner tonight is likely to be lasagne unless DH protests, Frog will have tea at nursery and will be topped up with some toast or scrambled eggs.

Hugs to those that could do with them and I hope you all have a nice day, albeit a grey one ;) xx

    Morning all!

Miserable day here, my washing machine has broken AGAIN! What are we paying that engineer for?! Going to attempt a self fix tonight and discuss with my LL the options for maybe just getting a new machine.

So might need to do some hand washing tonight - only 1 load left so would rather it done, then atleast I don't need to worry for a while.

Not much else to report. Will do a little revision tonight as am gearing up to take my next exam at the start of December.

The kitten decided to open the new bag of dog food I bought yesterday and helped himself to 2 slices of bread. He is going to be one fat cat when he is older!!

    Hope everyone is okay!

    Morning all,

I'm still wheat free, but still getting the odd funny tummy even though I feel better. I'm going to have a go at restricting dairy this week as well:eek: I'm determined to get to the bottom of it and to be honest I find the doctors less than useless when it comes to food allergies. Does anyone know of a good test I can send off for ?.
Everyone has gone off to college, work, school etc.
I'm planning a quiet morning and then I shall get on the bus to town about lunchtime. I need a couple of bits and bobs but I'm virtually done with my Christmas shopping:D I ordered lots of things on line so just waiting for them to be delivered now.
I have a dentist appt this afternoon to have my temporary filling made into a permanent and then I shall come back and put a chicken in to roast for tea. Everyone can do their own thing as we have parents evening tonight for my son at 6th form.
We had a few words last night , he is a lovely lad but so laid back he needs a kick up the bum sometimes. All I ask is that he keeps his room tidy, keeps on top of his college work and tidies up after himself
I don't think that's unreasonable, neither does he but he can't seem to manage it Grrrr he will get there I suppose but whatever he ends up doing for a career it will need to be in a very relaxed environment:rotfl: he will never suffer from stress.
Anyway off for a cuppa without milk x

    Morning all,

Yesterday I was marking exam papers.
Today I am marking exam papers.
Tomorrow I shall be marking exam papers ad nauseum until 2nd December.... but they pay me, they pay me they pay me (repeat as needed).

One bright note, the pay has increased - by 1p a paper. Woop woop :T

Enjoy your day as best you can x

    Morning all.
Raining again, was lovely and sunny when I got up.
Went into Mr A's yesterday for a browse and picked up a lovely dress for £9, so that will do for Saturday in London!
Need to do some ironing at some point and have a run round with the hoover, otherwise nothing strenuous will be happening, will rummage the freezer and see what can be created for dinner.
    Have a good day all!

    Hi everyone,

Julie67, you might be surprised at your DS, mine coasted through school and uni but found a good job and has worked very hard and been rewarded for it. He now looks back on his time at uni and wonders why he didn't work harder.

He was here for some pampering yesterday because he'd sprained his ankle but I think he must have gone in to work today, I hope he doesn't do too much on it (he's 6'6 and I still worry).

HH and Mollie, I have an underactive thyroid so my hair is very fine and thin in places which I hate. The only saving grace is the colour because i have no grey at 55, mum doesn't have any grey hair either and she's 82! I hope I'm the same.

Talking of mum, I spoke to her yesterday and this morning and she is feeling a bit better which is a relief.

I have to wait in for a delivery today, I hope it arrives this morning because I have to go to Cambridge because I didn't go yesterday after all.
  • Judy - Thanks for that, it made me smile :)

My DD was very very VERY active. This baby is the laziest of all 3... Reminds me of my husband (so laid back he's positively horizontal) I swear I'm having a boy!!

Baby is acting more normal today, even more active then I've had for a long while. I got a call, and my scan is this afternoon... They don't mess about here :)
We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy!

Mine's falling out in handfuls (one of the joys of lupus) and is now about a quarter the thickness it was when I moved in with Mr LW in 2002. I've put off trying to source wigs, but I think the time has now come.... trouble is, I don't really know where to begin; I'm not mobile, so I need to do it online, and ideally I'd like a few, in "interesting" colours.;)

Mr LW has just phoned, he got the couple of bits of shopping I asked him to get - he was nipping to Morries in his lunch break anyway, for some cider (the proper stuff, none of that Str0ngb0w fizz):D so I asked him to pick up a couple of packs of his yogurt drinks (he has one for breakfast each day) and a packet of Earl Grey tea while he was there.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
