Hmmm doesn't look right to me - I'd be getting the fitter back.
Also - get a torch. Is there any obstruction that would prevent it being lifted up?0 -
I would say it should be fitted up to the underside of the worktop. The dishwasher in my current and previous houses were both right up under the worktop. I think this is the reason they have had to cut the plinth so much (as you mentioned in your other thread).0

it doesn't look right to me, i bet if you look inside where the door closes at the top there are two holes ? if there are then this is for screws to fix it to the worktop, it's not clear from your pic if your worktops are real wood ? but if they are
Special care must be taken when fitting a worktop over appliances or exposed brickwork. Appliances such as dishwashers, washing machines and microwaves can produce extremes of heat and humidity.
If an appliance is to be installed under the worktop, make sure a moisture barrier is used to protect the underside from any possible heat or moisture.I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
When i have fitted them they always go up to the worktop, you usually put a off cut of worktop under the dishwasher to get it up to the height..
Cant you not find the instruction booklet? it will have the fitting instructions in there.

Most dishwashers are adjustable from 815-865mm so there should be no need to chock it up on block unless the floor isnt tiled.
This gap shouldnt exist. Get the fiitters back to sort it out. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
