    Hogwash.
No Irish person describes their country as Southern Ireland.Ever.
    It's Ireland.
Have you ever heard anyone describe England as Southern UK ?

    Irish are you?

that depends on which passport you hold

    Rubbish! Stop generalising!
I know plenty of British passport holders who describe themselves as Irish!

Referring to Ireland as Southern Ireland or Eire is a British thing.

Ireland is a fully independent nation and a member state of the EU. It no longer defines itself in terms of its relationship with the UK and deserves to be called by its proper name

Well, I'm Irish - Northern - and I call it Southern Ireland?
Really do not like non-Irish people pontificating about Ireland - never have!

Nah, I don't have to do anything - sorry!
I'm merely pointing out the holes in some of the retorts to the OP's original post.
I actually take exception to the fact that someone comes on here to ask for help and they get told, instead, that they're either 1) thick or 2) lying.
Thing is, the posters who have done this here, haven't actually provided any real backup for doing that - nobody has 'proved' that the OP was wrong/thick/lying.
I think you'll find that responding to OPs as many have done here, is totally against the ethos and 'rules' of MSE.
If someone can provide a screenshot of the screen ON THE DAY - fine. BUT THEY HAVEN'T. Just lots of opinions and surmising.
Seems that people can't take logic or admit they're wrong and they will keep chundering on - I'm bored now, go for your lives!
    :hello:

I didn't say you had to do anything.

I merely suggested that you may be able to offer the OP the advice she's asked for.

    But obviously you can't.

I've not called the OP a liar or thick.

I have said that I believe she was wrong about being 'screwed over by Ryanair'.
I do believe it's not against MSE rules to disagree with another poster.

If I thought the OP was right, I'd give her advice.
You think she's right, why can't you give her advice?

    "Go for your lives"?

What on earth does that mean?

What a difference! Booking process is clean and tidy and far fewer clicks. Every add on apart from insurance is "opt in"

    They really mean business. :T
