    I do want to apologise for my post earlier. I know you all owe me nothing, I flew off the handle at being called "pompous" (and then acted even worse as a result). As I say, I was just frustrated. Won't make any further excuses.

    Thank you all for your time, and genuinely sorry for the outburst. I'm active on another couple of forums and I hate it when people act how I did there so I know it was bang out of order.

    Also, genuinely appreciate the advice. I'm not too concerned about losing this position as most of my income is freelance/contract work however indeed I agree that it would be wise to broach the subject rather gently rather than firing in all guns blazing (although that certainly wasn't my intention anyway).
