All electic house, but with Dunsley Superclean back-boiler?

Hi
I've recently bought a house in Cumbria - it's a semi-rural location, so no mains gas. The heating is via a large immersion type tank, which feeds into radiators and provides hot water. There are 6 radiators in the house.
I found within the fireplace, there is a 'Dunsley Superclean' 16" (400mm) fireplace, which googling reveals is a backboiler. It looks in reasonable condition, and appears to be a current model and has been used fairly recently judging by the soot deposits in the chimney!
I'd like to recommission the backboiler to augment (not replace) the electric heating system. Ideally I'd like to be able to heat the existing immersion tank via the backboiler only when the fire is burning, but I suspect it's a little more involved than just adding another set of pipes running from my immersion tank to the backboiler!
As I'm all electric (there is no gas in the village) and coal is dirt cheap up here (it would be the cheapest way to heat the house). I'd like to recommission the backboiler to supplement the existing electric based heating system.
How difficult would this be to do? Finding tradesman up here is tricky, which doesn't help..!

Have you checked to see if it's even connected still?
One pipe in from the flow pipe, another pipe in from the return, and bobs your uncle. £120 quid diy.0 -

Thanks for the response - my assumption is that it is no longer connected, as there was no mention of a solid fuel heating system on the property details, just electric central heating.
I wasn't sure if it was as simple as just adding a new set of pipes running into the immersion tank.0
