    Maybe they don't know :).

    OK, I'm guessing here, but I'd assume that a multifuel stove would run hotter than a pure woodburner - so you might crack the stove.

    Also I am fairly certain the grate design/air intake is different..

    I know for a fact that you can destroy a woodburner by burning coke in it - a friend's teenage son decided to try his hand at blacksmithing using her Jotul stove and overheated it so much it got a huge crack in it and had to be replaced.

    s it happens I did type a reply but must have forgotten to press the send button.

    I suggested that you phoned up Dovre or one of their dealers to see if there was a conversion kit. At the very least you'll need a different grate so that air can come up from below and and space for an ashpan underneath it to collect the ash.
