Looking for hotels in Las Vegas
Comments

What time of year will you be going?
Even the big hotel/casinos have very good rates at certain times of the year.
The MGM Grand for example has rooms for as little as $72 plus taxes for midweek in Feb0 -
What hotel did you choose and where did you book it, and how much was your cheap flight.
It could help others to get a deal0 -
I always book Vegas hotels directly with the hotel. Then you don't pay until you check in and can change your mind and cancel free of charge until the day before travel.0

most Vegas hotels have a 72 hour cancellation policy (otherwise you'll lose the first night deposit) but in general I agree and we normally book direct with the hotels. i'd try hotwire.com as you can get rooms at a good price or priceline.com where you can suggest a price and see if hotels will go down that low. i wouldn't pay fees on any of them as you can get rooms cheap enough as it is if you shop around.:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

we stayed at the stratosphere and although it smelt of smoke bad (i'm not a fan of smoking if i'm honest so it put me off a bit, but they might have banned it now) but it was a nice hotel to stay in and was really cheap (it was 7 years since i went though so might have changed a bit):T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

I did my research. Signed up for hotel news letters, searched for promo codes and booked direct with the hotels. I also, on the advice of the guys in the las Vegas thread, stayed in 3 different hotels over the course of the ten days. Probably the best bit of advice I was given as the strip is that long it made exploring easier.0

For me Wild Bills was probably the best for value and location. Right smack bang in the middle of the strip it was a smaller hotel but our room was spacious and good value for money. The staff were really friendly and helpful.0
