Airport car parking - parked in wrong car park!
Comments

Man drives into car park and gives the attendant £5. Attendant says "park in bay 25". Man says OK, drives along and parks in bay 28, locks up car and walks away. Man comes back later and as he is driving out the attendant stops him and says "you parked in the wrong bay, that will be £150".
Would you give him £150, i doubt it. What is the difference here. What is the quantifiable loss ?0 -

That's not what happened. They parked in a completely different car park. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Where is a refund mentioned ?
The "refund" is that he's already paid to park in a different place so he doesn't think he should have to pay again - therefore he wants a refund for one of his parking payments. i.e. he has paid twice but he thinks he should only have paid once.Obviously I don't want to pay for parking again,1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -
I would say that the OP definitely owes the difference in price between the long stay car park and the jet park. I doubt that MA kept the space originally designated for the OP free for 2 weeks, and therefore they shouldn't charge the full amount (i suspect that it was kept free for 24 hours.0

Yup some times we need to pay for our honest mistakes and those mistakes will give us few alerts . Any how mistake is at our end and we should accept those ones....0 -

So if I prepaid for two weeks in a hilton hotel but then decided to spend the two weeks in a different hilton hotel I would only have to pay the difference in price between the two hotels? Or if there was no difference I wouldn't have to pay anything? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Or actually take it a step further - you prepaid for 2 weeks in a Hilton Hotel and then decided to spend 2 weeks in a better Hilton Hotel with better facilities that was more convenient for you ...0
