hi,
i was wondering if anyone could help?i recently purchased online a sim only contract with 3 but after much( strangely ) good help from customer services it seems my iphone is blacklisted thus unable to connect to their server,of course they put me through to various cancellation people but after nearly 2 hours wait i gave up and found an address for glasgow CServices,i sent a letter asking them to cancel and also that i am within the 14 day period to do so,will this work?

there is no 14 days cancellations on 3 sim onlys/3 phones. unfortunately it is a case of ringing them up giving 30 days notice and paying your first bill.
the contracts i have seen all say this in big letters at the bottom of contract0 -

You may want to find out what the issues is, if the phone is blacklisted it won't work on any network, did you buy it new or was is used and may have been reported stolen.
Is it capable of calls and text but not internet, in which case it's probably just misconfigured.i sent a letter asking them to cancel and also that i am within the 14 day period to do so,will this work?
Will it work, certainly. Will you be charged maybe, Three have always take the view that by using a service you void the DSR rules (which are 7 days not 14). If you have used the SIM you will be charged as per the contract as GYCraing says, that may be 30 days or may be the year if it's a years contract.
Remember the issues is your phone, not the Three service, and as it's a sim only service its out of their control0 -

Don't know what your contracts said, but their website says the opposite.How the service can be used if the phone is blocked?
Three are very clear you can return and unused item. The OP has used the sim by putting it in the phone. Its a very narrow view but that's threes view.
I read the post as not being able to contact the server means limited internet hence the prior comment about can you make calls or text .0
