Card payment machines..any cheaper options?

shopping around the main providers would be a good idea. a lot of the guys i work with have dabbled with new companies, but have migrated back to Streamline/Barclaycard/HSBC etc. for reliability. sometimes, even with better rates, some of the smaller companies can delay the time period before the payments arrive. it's not always the length of time that is the problem, it is the inconsistency.
also, some companies handle Amex even more inconsistently.
one of my customers, who runs a garden centre, shopped around extensively recently and came to Banking with HSBC and using Barclaycard as his card payments provider as being the best deal for him.0
