Why do they do that? Mine line them up on the top of the rad, I wouldn't mind but there's a bin in the bathroom and one in every bedroom, why wouldn't they just put them in the bin?
We don't really have door trouble as we don't have any downstairs, but putting clean clothes in the washing basket is something my daughter is terrible for. She came downstairs yesterday and asked where all her jumpers were, I told her if she keeps putting them is the washing after she's worn them for half an hour she's going to keep running. Credit to her, she did take them out again and put them back in her drawer.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
It's not too bad for me at the mo cos I live alone:j:j:j I still have to tell certain guest to put the loo seat down though!!That is a major bugbear of mine:mad::mad:
Back when DD lived at home, she couldn't be bothered hanging her clothes ,that had just been washed, up, so used to throw them back in the basket:mad::mad::mad:"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

I once found in my washing basket a large pile of perfectly ironed, clean and folded tops and trousers etc belonging to my eldest, I had ironed them that morning and laid them on his bed for him to put away, it was obviously too much trouble to walk across the room to his drawers, instead he walked through to the kitchen and put them in the laundry basket.1 Sealed Pot Challenge # 1480

I was having a very similar conversation with a friend about our OH's this morning! We covered a lot of what is mentioned, my particular one is it is amazing how a dirty cup is put on worktop above dishwasher but not in inside . . . Sigh. . .:rotfl:2019, move forward with positivity! I am the opposite of Eyeore :rotfl:0

Having recently seen the Andrex advert it appears it's not an uncommon thing for people to do and they have coined the phrase 'Rolla phobia', must be contagious though as everyone else in my house has it but me....I must just be germ resistant! :rotfl:
I have found paired socks put in the washing bin rather than put away and the reason my lot don't put items in the dishwasher and place them on the work surface above it is because they tell me opening and closing the door too many times will only break the hinges!
Recycling NEVER gets taken out, merely left by the back door for Mum to take on her next visit to the garage. Cats go hungry if there is no food in the house, even though we never have less than 30 cans in the garage and why when you know we are nearing the end of bread or milk can't they go and get more from the freezer?0 -
I'd like to apologise on behalf of all hormonal grumpy teenagers to the mums out there.
I was one once (the hormonal grumpy teenager) and remember how my mum would wash and iron my clothes. She'd walk into my bedroom, while I was having a weekend lie in;), and I'd tell her off for making too much noise as she opened the wardrobe door and hung the garments on hangers.:o:o:o
I didn't appreciate her. I didn't realise that she could've told me to launder my clothes..............and she never took offence at my ungrateful behaviour.:o:o:o10 Dec 2007 - Led Zeppelin - I was there. :j [/COLOR]:cool2: I wear my 50 (gold/red/white) blood donations pin badge with pride. Mine are really good now...it only took 19years to train them though.
One of my dds is at uni in student digs, but comes home regularly as we don't live to far away...the difference is amazing, she informed me today they had a house meeting and decided it was time to put the heating (this is the girl who would happily put my heating on and wander around in a little vest top) She has also discovered Aldi, and cooks great meals from scratch....in short she has become a mini meWell Behaved women seldom make history

I just need a mini rant and to hear that I am not alone! Currently I am trying to reduce our bills and it is an ongoing battle with my family to get them to work with me. It is the little things like:
- Leaving lights/appliances on when not in the room
- Leaving doors open
- Not putting away the milk when making a cup of tea
- Running baths and then constantly topping up the hot water
- Putting clean clothes in the laundry
- Wasting food
Does anyone else have these mini daily battles with family or are you all managing to work together?
What sanctions do you impose on them?0 -

... because they should go in the paper & cardboard recycle box, not the bin?0
