Vinyl wrapped kitchen doors 'bubbling' ??

I bought a kitchen from Magnet 7 years ago, the doors have all bubbled over the years and have all been replaced 4/5 times. Absolute nightmare!!!! The last time I went to collect replacements I was told that they had been discontinued because of the bubbling issue! The kitchen has been the stuff of nightmares ever since we put it in. Magnet have completely ignored us over the years bar the l store who have kept replacing them. They have just replaced rubbish with rubbish! Head Office have never wanted to know. No one would tell me what the warranty was on the doors either.

We had a very expensive Liecht (I think that is how it is spelt) kitchen and utility room fitted 5 years ago. The edges at the bottom of some of the doors in the kitchen area have 'blown' and they are now looking wavy. The company who sold and fitted it went into liquidation 6 months after it was completed. Another Liecht dealer recently said he has never seen such poor wear, made all the more puzzling that it has happened on a couple of areas which are nowhere near to any water or sea. He was going to see if he could get a discount from Liecht for us for replacing all the affected doors - then Lockdown. I will get back to him, but I would certainly not pay full whack for replacements. Utterly disappointing as the actual carcases are phenomenal. At the time it was a toss up between Sematic and Liecht. we now wonder whether we made the wrong decision both with going with Liecht and also going with composite doors instead of wood. Anyone else had this experience I wonder.0

Kitchen doors manufactured today are not fit for purpose. Over half of our work involves stripping back vinyl doors ready for spray painting. Kitchens are not made to last thats why there is a massive growth in people upstyling their existing kitchen if it is in good order. Exposing the underlying mdf allows for a complete transformation, the choice of colour is then down to the customer. Michael - SPRAY PAINT IRELAND-1
