To those interested, Jet2's application for permission to appeal will take place on 4th March 2014.

I have no idea why the Court has abandoned the original window of 8th - 29th Jan 2014.
    Delaying tactics by airline?
Perhaps they are hoping something from the toothless NEBs can be cobbled together and put before EC to strengthen their mediocre case?

Coby .... what does 'float' mean? Is the fact that two possible dates have been set aside an indication that the appeal will proceed? Is the appeal in Manchester?

Float means it hasn't been allocated to a particular judge yet.

I'm not sure why their website says the 4th or 5th, because the correspondence from the court says it's the 4th. It could be because the court thinks it might take longer than a day to hear (although I'd be surprised if that was the case).

If permission is given then it'll be re-listed for another hearing to hear the actual appeal itself, at a later date.

It'll be at the Royal Courts of Justice in London.

As I work down the road in Whitehall, I might quite fancy a day at the High Court (though I imagine the actual appeal itself will be more interesting!)

No doubt they are rolling out the big guns for this a all contributing to the pot. I hope they get nowhere with it and I know you will do your best on behalf of thousands out there.

    Hi Toby

    Just looked on the Case Tracker for Civil Appeals website and its reverted back to saying;

Hearing Status: Window of 08-Jan-14 to 29-Jan-14

    Last Updated: 06-Jan-14

Has there been a change or is it a website glitch.

    Regards

    len

The Court has said that they previously made a mistake and that the hearing HAS NOT been listed.

They also said - "The case is on a waiting list ready to be referred to a Judge for permission to appeal on paper in the first instance."

I hope it does get dealt with on paper because this should speed things up.
