    THIS IS AN AE

Right, time for my bed, night all

(It isnt really an AE, just testing your theory Savvy ;)
    )

See, I didn't believe the red heading there (or red herring perhaps:rotfl:) as it was obviously not true anyway.

After all that post, for now, hope my lists help you (unless you're a troll or AE presumably) and just check in the morning in case the prices suddenly change at the competitor (or the store you are buying at if the competitor is said to be N/A).

    Bye for now.:):)

    Generally not :rotfl:

Really? I'm sorry - your reply comes as a complete surprise.:):o:)
In which case - my conclusion is clearly correct - best left for others to spot and to let me know (in the correct way) so that I can then be able better to look after myself.:):)

Savvy I think it's just a question of sitting back and noticing the sorts of things being posted. General rule of thumb is

    - poster has joined MSE and headed straight for the elite board (quite unusual as people normally stumble over here from elsewhere on MSE)
    - doesn't contribute shops/links/tips
    - seems to post things that aren't necessarily in keeping with what's being discussed at the time
    - posts begin to sound blunt/rude or overfamiliar, as if the poster has prior experience of the elite and the thread

I have no idea about this first point, since I almost only stick to the Elite board and therefore don't know if someone has come straight here or via somewhere else. Or it automatically puts all 'Newbies' under suspicion as I suggested?(?)

As regards point 3, lots of us (and certainly me) post things that aren't in keeping with the discussions of the time, so that doesn't help either I'm afraid!

You have to read between the lines :( but I am guessing you don't and take everything literally

    Precisely what I suggested!:)

I'll continue obliviously posting lists and ignoring everything around me.

As regards Newbies, it's an interesting(?) point, as due to the 'be nice to Newbies', I'd tend to reply to them welcoming them. If however I've seen someone since allege (and I don't know whether truthfully) that such and such Newbie is an AE, I don't reply (if I was going to) to the 'Newbie' once I see that allegation.

After a couple of these allegations over various posts over various times, I am now almost never replying to any Newbie at all as they might be an AE. It just then leads to a culture of overcautiousness on my part (which, if everyone were to adopt the same approach, in theory as I know they won't in practice, would mean that no Newbie would ever be welcomed onto the thread as they'd never be replied to ever).

If we're over there then it's on the wrong day  as they do it on 24th, and mainly consists of fish dishes, poppy seeds in pretty much everything and the obligatory tripe soup _pale_
You need the vodka just to be able to cope with the food tbh

This year it's over here (hooray!) so it's done properly ;)

You can see the number of posts under a poster's name so that helps. If it's only 2 or 3 and you can see they've all been on the elite board....then that means this is the first place they've posted.

I only really hang out here too. Of course we should be polite to all newbies but just take care. Wish we didn't have to but given all of the attacks lately.... A lot of the board members said they knew the last troll was one from the first few posts. So we're getting better at spotting 'em :)
