O2 refusing to remove a settled default

  • Oh seriously, you lot need to get the hell off here! The poor bloke is a normal human being who has made a tiny mistake on a phone bill (notoriously the quickest to default). It's even debatable that they should be allowed to default being a service agreement as opposed to credit and not being governed by the same laws ie not having to issue a default notice. Too many people enjoying sitting on here lecturing. Enjoy your lives little ones and don't obsess about credit so much that you can't live a day without checking your reports, it's not the advice people want or need.

    Feel better? Need a tissue?

No one is lecturing, just stating facts. If you don't pay your bills it will affect you for the next 6 years.

The OP got plenty of advice, but chose not to read it because it's not what they want to hear.

If someone can't manage a phone account for small amounts of money, how can that person be trusted with a mortgage?

Some of us are here because we had defaults, money troubles and needed advice on how to deal with it. If you take that advice on board you'll have no problems, if you rant and rave and ignore the people who are here telling you the FACTS you'll just get laughed at the more angry you get.
