Help required regarding contract deal and company offering said deal
Hi, this is my first post and i was just wondering if someone could give me some advice regarding http://www.mobiles.co.uk
The site seems to offer a cracking deal on the Sony Ericsson K810i on Orange, with 500 minutes and unlimited texts for £35/m. However, they also offer 14 months half price line rental, so after the cashback this plan works out at just over £21/m over the 18 months of the contract. This seems like a very good deal to me.
However, i was wondering if anyone on these boards had any experience with the company, and how likely they are to deliver on their cashback promise. I've heard some feedback on these forums regarding the dodgy policies some companies have concerning their cashback schemes, and would like to know whether mobiles.co.uk falls under this shady umbrella.
Any help would be much appreciated. And here's to a long and (hopefully) very worthwhile stay on these boards. Cheers!

Wow - a company I haven't come across before! Yummy!
Site looks ok - not the best deals around, but had a VERY quick check on google and they seem to have a lot of mention. I would suggest you do what I would do; have a very thorough check through a google search (this is the best but not the ONLY feedback site I've come across!), read their cashback and other terms VERY carefully, then ask them to clarify anything you're not absolutely CLEAR about and to confirm it in writing if you're not totally convinced. I'm sure there must be people on here who have come across this company though - and hopefully used them.0 -
Hmm, you say that the deals on this site are not the best - could i ask where you have seen some better deals? I dont mean to challenge you, i literally want to know where to get some awesome deals, from reliable companies. I want to pay no more than £35/ before cashback, and want to get the most amount of minutes/texts as possible, with the K810i. I also dont want to to be raped by a dodgy website and their scammy cashback policies.
If youre wondering why i'm being rather stringent, its because i'm a student, and therefore frugal is my middle name.0 -
If you want a good deal on Orange, Mobiles.co.uk is a good place to look, they are an approved Orange specialist partner which basically means they get more commission from Orange which can then be put into the deal and passed onto you.
They have a growing reputation in the industry as well, they keep winning the best online retailer award!! Their new site is quite good.
With regards to cashback I have no experience of their reliability, id just recommend the usual methods/checks that mobilejunkie suggests.
As far as best deal goes, check around some of the mobile comparison sites to quickly compare offers on that deal.

Best deal from the best of the sites offering a k800i 12 months free with the best tariff? Easy; Coolnewmobile or Phonebox Direct - IF they are still there in 12 months as I hope they are AND you understand and follow the t&c accurately. Many don't! It's about risk/reward; the better the deal, the more risk you are taking because more is involved in cashback.0

Whoops; you want the newer version (k810i). Can't say about that - but I have a k800i and it really is a fantastic phone. From what I've read (only!) I'm not sure it's worth paying extra for the k810i. It will appear on 12 month free deals hopefully in a few months time. I will be watching for it! But not on The Mobile Outlet or Phones2uDirect among others!0
