Bought online, price on tag different to what paid

Sorry about the thread title wasn't sure how to sum up the situation in a nutshell!
Anyway I ordered a pair of jeans from New Look on their website. They were priced at £14.99. They have been delivered today but the price tag on them says £12.99. I called customer services and confirmed they have sent me the jeans that I did order (ie not a different cheaper pair). The lady on the phone told me that the jeans they have delivered had been marked up incorrectly. Only my pair apparently. She said she could send me a 25% off my next order voucher. I said I would just like the £2 difference.
She said they could not do a partial refund as I paid by paypal. I said I would leave it as I would like to check in store what price they are being sold at, to confirm that only my pair of jeans have been marked up wrong.
My question is: if I have been overcharged for this product what are my rights to be refunded the difference? I don't really want a money off voucher as that's only really to their benefit as I don't need to buy any more clothes for a while now. If the jeans are on sale in the shop at £14.99 then I'm happy to let it rest.
Hope that all makes sense!!!

You are not entitled to the refund no. You agreed to the price you paid. Everything else doesn't matter, sorry. I do see how it's annoying though0

Put simply, you agreed to purchase an item at a specific price.
They seem to have delivered that item.
Transaction complete.
have a look at this very recent thread:0 -

You haven't been overcharged.
You saw the jeans advertised at £14.99 and this is the price that you paid.
What is on the price tag is irrelevant as this could be an old tag or as you were told on the phone, an error.
But as you didn't buy in store, what price they are selling them at is also irrelevant.I said I would leave it as I would like to check in store what price they are being sold at
Online and high street outlets of the same company often sell at different prices.0 -
Thanks guys. As said I'm happy with the jeans and was happy to pay the £14.99, was just peeved when the tag said something different. I'll just leave it be then. Thanks again!0

At least you got a 25% off voucher for calling. (You did take it, didn't you?)0

Of course, as you bought online, you do have the right to cancel using the DSR's
Looking at the website, they also offer free returns to stores.
So... IF you can be bothered, and IF the store has your size and IF they are still at the reduced price, then cancel the online order, return to store and then buy the cheaper pair when there.
Obviously the risk is cancelling the order and then finding out the store doesn't have what you want.
Not sure I'd be bothered for £2.
However, I do agree that it is extremely annoying.bod1467 wrote:At least you got a 25% off voucher for calling. (You did take it, didn't you?)
Personally, I'd have gone with the voucher as well.“That old law about 'an eye for an eye' leaves everybody blind. The time is always right to do the right thing.”0 -
To confirm, I have got the 25% off e-coupon. So at least a little bonus!!
Definitely not bothered with the hassle of returning/buying elsewhere. Plus I'm wearing them right at the moment!!
