    Thank you for the replies.

I have looked at the Salus room stats and others.
Some i have looked at only have 2 wires so was after one that has 4 wires to make things easy.
I dont know if they do 4 wire room sats, seen ones with 3 wires and it says tape off one of the wires that is not needed.
Has anybody tried to swap a dial one for a digital room stat and was it hard to do?

Digital room thermostats will have usually three connections. Your old one will have four as it probably also has an anticipator. This isn't required in a digital thermostat.

Most likely, you will only need to use two connections.

Are you able to post a photo of the wiring to the existing room thermostat and state the make and model?

Cant post a photo but the make is Honeywell and was installed with whole new central heating about 14 years ago if that helps.
I will try and get some more details on the control panel and room stat in a day or 2.

Is it that you are not able to post a photo or you can't?
