New digital room stat

I have an old dial room stat that works but not brilliantly. The dial seems to be out by 10c so if i put it on 10c it is really 20c. I have tested this by using a digital thermometor and there seems to be a lot of difference in the temp when setting it to switch on/off which varies 3 to 4c.
I think this wastes some energy and would like to install a digital one which is more accurate.
I have a Baxi back boiler and the control is upstairs and the room stat is in the hall. The room stat has 4 wires going into it. I dont want to spend too much but only need a room stat and not the timer controls.
Any help is much welcomed.

Have a look at the RT300 and ST320 from Salus Controls:

The ST320 has a touch sensitive ring control which operates in a similar way to an analogue dial room thermostat.
The RT300 costs around £26 and the ST320 around £38.If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!

What is the best digital thermostat on the market these days for a system boiler, not looking for nothing fancy with zones etc
Are Honeywell and Drayton the main brands as I have not heard much about Salus although the ST320 looks amazing, does it work well?0 -
Salus have been around for a while and make controls for boiler manufacturers too.
You can find reviews of the abovementioned models on the Internet.
Depending on your budget, the iT500 is probably the best if you want Internet/smart phone control:

Thank you for the replies.
I have looked at the Salus room stats and others.
Some i have looked at only have 2 wires so was after one that has 4 wires to make things easy.
I dont know if they do 4 wire room sats, seen ones with 3 wires and it says tape off one of the wires that is not needed.
Has anybody tried to swap a dial one for a digital room stat and was it hard to do?0 -
