Why is it rubbish? Do you think jobs are created by the magic job fairy?
Every job in the history of the world was created by someone.
Just not a someone like you I guess.0 -

Yes some people can create jobs some can't but to suggest people creating their own jobs is a solution to youth unemployment is ridiculous.0 -
People who are capable of doing so as they have done in the past. To suggest everybody can is as I said ridiculous if it was that easy we wouldn't have 1 million young unemployed people.
It may well be ridiculous to say that everyone can do this.
However to assume that none can do so is equally ridiculous however it's true, that the benefit system discourages such initiatives.0 -

Anyone able-bodied & unemployed could start their own business tomorrow. Buy a bucket & sponge for £2 & clean cars or windows. Do it well enough & you can take on an assistant to cope with demand. That's all it takes to create a job.
I agree though, it would be much easier to just moan on discussion boards about the lack of jobs, that takes no effort at all.0 -

Yes it's as easy as that.0 -
It is exactly as easy as that. I've cleaned cars and would do so again if the options were do that or moan about how unfair it is that there isn't a magic supply of jobs created by someone else.
In isolation that kind of thing can work but it is not a solution to overall problem but then you know that.0
