Parking Charge Notice from Excel Parking
Got home today from work and got this nice letter from Excel Parking.
Allegedly i was parking in Stockport Peel Centre for 31 minutes without paying.
Also at the top left are two photos that are very very dark (black) showing "allegedly" me entering the car park and leaving, unable to read entering the car park numberplate at all , but leaving car park is numberplate visible.
Parking charge notice with required to pay parking charge notice in full in accordance with the terms and conditions prominently displayed a payment of £100.00 is required within 28 days of the issue date of this notice. However a reduced sum of £60.00 will be accepted if payment is received within 14 days of the issue date of this notice.
Have read the threads here that say just ignore? ... i dont remember if it was the day i was just dropping my missis off for shopping and the car park was just full of cars (driving lanes) and just sat there for a long period of time before getting out of there. Should i appeal and say that there was was a traffic jam blocking me from getting out of there? Do they have cameras recording (CCTV) ? Date of contravention is 29.10.13
I really hate this car park as sometimes need to pick something up from stores there quick in 10-15 minutes and to "legally" park there you have to pay "minimum" time thats 1-3 hours for £1.30? Why they dont have 30 minutes for £0.40 ect?
What should i do?
