Sorry, you're right, the actual price was 260.825p per share

No harm done, I was mainly checking that I was correctly understanding where the price was/is.

Well that is me, but if I can't take a profit I'll just stick around for the dividend income, there isn't any reasonable savings accounts anyway to hold cash.

  • First timer: I bought £750 in royal mail, sold some shares and i got £1k back and left the rest.

Also invested £1k in infinis energy, thinking of leaving it until i get a profit of around £200-250. Not sure when that will be - but better than nothing?

I think you've applied the RMG sell off to general IPO's. RMG was exceptionally undervalued. You generally find there is a stark difference between public and private IPO's.

There is no guarantee that a share price will go up after their IPO as you've found out. Did you read the prospectus and invest based on the business case and projected returns or simply invest because it was an IPO?

Why? Who else but morons would apply for new shares and then sell them immediately at the same price or even at a loss whilst also incurring a dealing cost?
  • interesting; share price just popped over 270
