My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Buyer has received 2 (bad) feedbacks resulting in a score of minus one. I don't want to post the item as I am sure there will be trouble and result in neg feedback for me. Item is only worth £2 with £8 postage (to Ireland) so not worth £10 from buyer. Can I cancel and refund the money paid by paypal?
Can someone please advise me what to do. Thanks in advance.
If I understand you, you are saying that despite entering into a legally binding agreement to supply the goods that the buyer has paid for, you wish to break your contract and fail to supply.
That is not good practice.
You had the chance before placing your auction to list any terms and conditions for the sale and could easily have stated that those with negative feedback above your chosen level were not allowed to bid. But you appear to have ignored that option and now wish to alter the terms of the contract you have with your buyer.
From where I sit, the only way I can see for you to get out of this is to contact the buyer direct and ask if you can cancel the sale. You risk receiving a negative response and negative feedback for even asking, but there is little else to do.
I suggest that before placing any future auctions you think careful about just who you'll let bid and who you won't, then make these conditions perfectly clear in the auction description. Why Pay High Fees
