What a pain having to WORK Have got severe freecycle withdrawal symtons :eek:

I shall go rummaging in a bit and post todays goodies:D

PS Got an 'offered' offered to me yesterday. Thrilled to bits with it, collecting tomorrow. She said they were deluged with requests - most cheeky beggar emails, no manners - and picked mine because of how it was written. Manners always pay off. She said she and hubby were new to freecycling and were shocked at the rude 'gimme' emails they got for this 'offered'

i like this thread. I used to love freecycle but the members of my group have become so greedy. anytime I offer something I'm shocked at the lack of manners - despite me saying in my posts "a please and a thankyou will go a long way in helping me to choose you, will wait 24 hours before deciding in order to give everyone a fair chance" I get so many emails within 5 minutes which say only "i'll take this now. what is your address".

anyway, I get the digests and in the one today out of 25 posts, 14 were wanteds for high-value items. the best one was this:



I urgently want a non-widescreen lcd
flatscreen tv with 2 scart sockets up to 26inches. Please
please if anyone has one spare can you contact me!!!

rabbit joke just sent to me, esp for bones

The Energizer Bunny, known best for, "going and going and going..." passed away last evening at 12:42am.

Upon completion of the autopsy early this morning, the chief medical examiner ruled that the death was caused by acute cardiac arrest, induced
by sexual over-stimulation.
Apparently, someone put the battery in backwards and the bunny kept coming and coming and coming,... Foul play has not been ruled out.
