it'll be even more scary when he's standing at your door step banging on the door kicking off cos you got him banned from Freecycle. Especially now he can get a new email address and arrange to collect anything you offer..

Doing the right thing isn't always the right thing.

i never thought about it like that. if he was mad enogh to turn up last night, he could again couldn't he. oh my god.

You were quite right to report him to the Mods - I don't suppose for one minute that the Mods told him they were banning him because of you! I'd imagine a lot of folk may have reported him already.
Might be worth signing up with a new ID, and explain to the Mods why?
And in the unlikely event he'd turn up on your doorstep again 'kicking off', you ring the police.

This has gone to the ONE AND ONLY polite request, out of many emails I
received about it. I do wish more people had the grace to ask nicely
and not simply *tell* me they want it, and where I should deliver to.
Very disappointing. I'm not expecting grovelling gratitude of course,
but a little niceness wouldn't go amiss.

Anybody got a feeling of deja vu?
How sweet it is to do nothing..... and then rest afterwards.

Having given away loads on Freecycle recently, decided to ask for a couple of 'offered's' tonight (still feel cheeky asking for things though!) Neither of them are luxury items by any means, but as both are being offered by people who intend to tip them if they're not taken, I don't feel guilty putting in my bids.
Just sent simple 'this would be really useful' type emails without all the sob stories that I've received over the past few days. (Actually the 'best' one I got was apparently from a single mother of 7, who wanted EVERYTHING I'd posted and not a please or thankyou).

We'll see what tomorrows mail brings :D
