definition of antibark collar: two electric prongs touching the dogs neck, when the "owner" then pushes the button, or the dog barks, thousands of volts go through the dogs body, the dog doesnt know what to do, in some instances keeps barking.i my mind thats animal cruelty, how would you like it if someone put a collar round your neck and hurt you so much that you would feel brused around your neck .

You also get anti-bark collars that emit a high pitched sound audible only to the dog activated by barking see:
    http://www.tvdeals.tv/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=5&products_id=25&gclid=CP_Xgr-Gk40CFQd7UAodzwVomg

or those which spray a citronella (or odourless apparently) smell when the dog barks see: http://www.woofnwhiskers.co.uk/multi-vet-antibark-collar-p-980.html

    Never used either.

I see , but anymethod along those lines isn very cruel, people who use them should be disgusted , people should be proud if they dont use them! The Pmiester

My first computer had a 5 1/2" floppy disk drive. HD? what was one of those?

I know it! Infact, I used use an Omega disk drive to back up data - thought that was amazing at the time !!
Good to see that people can make use of these dinosaurs and save them going into landfill though

OMG - I'd no idea about that til I read your post. When I saw the original post, I thought it was a joke :(
Can't believe so called pet lovers would subject their animals to that.

HELLO, you now understand the horrors of unfair pet owners, dont get me wrong , there are alot more nice people treating pets theway they should but its not the point.
There are also ones that shock the dog when they bark, this makes the dog bark more, so you can see where im going..
Im sorry to enlighten everyone about the horrible truths but people must learn of these horrible devices and people

    Hi all
Can I just say I love this forum. Don’t get me wrong I have had some great things off freecycle only last night I got a dishwasher (and no before you ask I did not get it from a wanted ) But I can’t help laughing at some of the things people ask for or there outright cheek and even some of the stuff that is posted as offered on the sites. We often have a giggle at work about the stuff that is put on.
So thanks for making me laugh, and keep it up
