Letter written, signed and posted. Fingers crossed and please send strong, coping vibes to my eldest son x
Fingers crossed he is home soon xx...Must go food shopping this afternoon, we've been eating up the cupboards and freezer and have finally run out of cereal, cheese and jam, we're on the last of the milk, coffee, spread and flour....
The world will end the day we run out of jam...the "joy" of having an allotment on a site with apples, brambles & elderberries all aroundI think we currently have more than Tesco (but a lot is for Chrimbo gifting!)
Currently awaiting signed bits of paper to find their way to a solicitor who should have sent them to my solicitor...you would think that people would be keener to get their money, but hey!0 -
Ohhhh I don't want to go out tonight, but I have to. I must see my friends, they moved to Dorset in the summer and I've not seen them since, so I must make the effort.
We're going to the Williams F1 HQ tomorrow for a family fun day, which should be fun, OH is a F1 nut so he can't wait.0 -
Afternoon All
Not too bad a day but when the rain comes down it's torrential! At work (break) so using this computer for now, BT cut us off yesterday after I told them it would be the 18th Nov at the earliest. Stupid folk can give us another phone line with a new number (what good is that) but can't put the internet back on till Wednesday. If it takes them 2 secs to unplug then surely it takes 2 secs to plug in again. Spoke to their overseas call centre yesterday and got nowhere. I am fizzing mad.
JackieO - Hope your mouth heals soon, I found warm salt water mouth washes helped.
Molly - Hugs to you and DS, hope he's free from her soon.
I will try to keep up to date but will only have my phone (which I am not very good at with the internet), but hopefull will be back with you on Wednesday. Take care. XX0 -
Hi chums I went to History club this afternoon as I thought no point sitting indoors moping. We studied the battle of the Somme and it was so sad that so many died for little reason but the generals wanting to have some glory .
Still can't talk very well and mouth feels very uncomfortable. I only have had some chicken soup for lunch.I may have some scrambled eggs shortly as they are quite easy on the mouth.Feeling really fed up with life at the moment I'm really not a patient patient at all as I hate feeling poorly.I will probably watch the soaps (well Corrie at least as I think its quite well written, then have an early night and have a read of my library book.Fingers crossed things will be better tomorrow .I'm really feeling my age at the moment, and its not like me at all.
Ho Hum onwards and upwardsI have to be up in the morning ,no lie in for me as I have the Virgin engineer arrivine to sort my fault out.Every time I try to watch catch-up it keeps going back to the menu.Very irritating as most of the t.v. I watch is on catch-up.
Bit chilly tonight so I'm glad I am indoors now until late Sunday afternoon,a bit of snuggling under my blanket on the sofa sounds like a good plan.
Have a good evening chums whatever you are doing

Bonsoir - tomorrow we cross back to the UK.
Not a great journey today, but made it safely. Had torrential rain at times, just like being in a car wash we would imagine. Seen a nice rainbow. Then a junction of the A16 near Boulogne was closed, so cue queuing on the minor roads!! Luckily had plenty of time in hand for the arrival here. Staying at the Kyriad at Coquelles, can certainly recommend it. Nice room & nice meal tonight. Diet, what diet!!:o:o
((Hugs)), Spoons, Positive Vibes all round. Take care everyone. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Evening all!
Molly- huge stay strong vibes for DS and you, hopefully he can break away.
What a miserable day, got soaked umpteen times at work, and a typical Friday, busy busy!
I am now on holiday for a week, off out tomorrow for a girlie night for my friend's birthday which is Monday, then 3 of us are off to London on Friday for the weekend, going to see Billy Elliot on Saturday, looking forward to it and my friend is very excited!
Enough rambling, am off to survey the fridge and see if theres anything to nibble, no dinner and half a lunch, and have had little enough sleep without going to bed hungry!RIP Iain
