O2 Gprs calls - £340 refunded!!

Hi All,

I was sent one month a bill for £410 of GPRS call charges. When i complained how there wasn't any measures put in place to stop this happening (like call charging limits?) i was told to be aware of the charges and "be more responsible". I swallowed hard and paid the bill.

The next month I got a bill of £340 -. The infuriated me. I said that this was impossible as the lesson had been learnt - i was informed these charges were in arrears. In fact they could be up to 7 WEEKS!!! in arrears.

When i asked why couldn't they put something in place to stop this happening they said "it's on a different system".

My response was this "If you are unable to be responsible and you are the one charging me - don't expect me to be. Measures should be put in place to stop this happening"

The point is this. Currently under current charging - they could amount a bill of ANYTHING £1000 or £2000 because WE are responsible.

Unfortunately (hindsight is wonderful) in my complaint letter i said that i would swallow the first bill BUT i still got my £340 CREDIT:j!!

This is just info - so be careful and don't take rubbish from anyone
!!

O2 are expensive anyway! Move to t-mobile (you can take your number). I'm on t-flext now. :) I moved after having to pay £100 for a handset when I renewed my contract! If I'd have been a new customer on the same tariff I would have got the handset for £50! How is that for customer loyalty :(

I get unlimited GPRS access for £7.50 a month ;)
