Before you decide to post on facebook, etc, etc, have you actually tried contacting the shop itself?

I realise it's a novel idea, most threads on here seem to be:
    1. Discover problem
    2. Post on here
    3. Go public
    4. Get lawyers involved.
    5. Demand compensation

In the old days, if a shop made a mistake, once you discovered it, you'd phone the shop. That was the very first thing you do. If the shop couldn't help, then you would start to look elsewhere.

It's £3.25 and I have no proof. I thought it would be sensible to ask people's advice to see whether it's worth bothering about before I put the effort in to go down to the shop.

I would suggest if threads seeking consumer advice annoy you then perhaps you shouldn't be a member of a consumer rights forum;)

You should go the the police. £3.75 for a cup of soup is robbery.

    £3.25. The bread was £.50.

A bit pricey I accept but they are very nice and less than 300 calories.

No, I have no problem with people seeking consumer advice.

My advice is to call the shop. It's not what others would advise, but that's their choice.
    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?

So is mine. My wife puts burnt offerings in front of me every night.

(Dear wifey, this is a joke, your cooking is excellent)

But you didn't even give them a chance before posting on here. I think that's what annoys people. If you had just waited to give them a chance your thread on here wouldn'd exists would it.

But this board surely exists to give people advice on what to do in similar situations? Now this thread exists people who read it would know that if this happened to them what Prets response would be.

I see no rules on this forum that say only post a thread after you have first discussed the issue with the business.

If your body was a temple you would be more concerned by the nutritional content rather than the calories,

Less calories just means you're hungrier sooner ;)
