Went to Pret yesterday and bought soup and bread for £3.75. The guy said £3.75 and so I paid by contactless like I always do.
I've just noticed they've taken £7 out of my account. I assume he double souped me by mistake.
I have no receipt as it was contactless and it's only £3.25.
Do I have any way of getting this back or should I just write it off?
It annoys me when companies take too much money off me due to their mistake!

Pret are a good retailer, if you post on their FB page you will get a pretty prompt response, and they'll probably speak to the store so it is all sorted when you next go in.0

Before you decide to post on facebook, etc, etc, have you actually tried contacting the shop itself?
I realise it's a novel idea, most threads on here seem to be:
1. Discover problem
2. Post on here
3. Go public
4. Get lawyers involved.
5. Demand compensation
In the old days, if a shop made a mistake, once you discovered it, you'd phone the shop. That was the very first thing you do. If the shop couldn't help, then you would start to look elsewhere.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0
