Volunteer required to take over the mag daily thread as I'm fed up with the mucking around :eek:

When I started this thread it was to ease a bit of the burden for Glad with the Daily Sticky and to keep the main forum tidy as much as possible but it's going back the other way now :eek:

I would love to offer Cornishpasty but I am due to have an operation in 2 weeks. I really don't blame you for wanting to hand this job over to someone else though. The daily mags are a nightmare at the moment - chopping and changing the answers, suspending comps, changing end dates and I have been having trouble with the videos lately! I too am fed up and even thinking about leaving them until after the new Year

agree with you Cornish, it was agreed to have the dailies all on one thread & glad helped sort it out,
but now they are being posted back on main board & others are posting them as well as the ones in the daily lists, they don't get merged & in a way they are dupes but now it seems they shouldn't be expired or aren't merged :eek:


will the sticky be taken away now & we post all the clicktowin/dailies back on main board

& am sad you think I am
just trying to explain that the dailies were discussed many times on lots of threads & it was agreed & voted on to have a ongoing thread daily thread for them to make it easier to stop clogging up the main board etc,
i'm confused because if I find a special in the mags that's not on the site as cheekychicken explained in one of her posts then do I have to post it on the main board first & link it to the daily stickie or vice versa or just post it on mains for everyone like it used to be, which was a long winded way of posting the comp,
much simpler/quicker to add to a daily thread
it's getting confusing having them posted all over again

this thread was an experiment and just needs tweaking a little

It seems that some people want the comps posted on the main board as they used to, but others like the links collected in one place

I must admit when I was first asked about taking the mags dailies out of the daily sticky and giving them their own thread, I thought it was a good idea as updating one thread with that many dailies was a lot of work. Originally I did think it would just be run the same as the general daily sticky but for mags dailies

then it was decided to take all the comps off the main board and just have them posted in one thread, I think the problem has been all the extra comps now being added. Even though the thread is a sticky so it's 'on view' a lot of people won't be checking it regularly if they don't know different comps are being added

it's ok to admit it didn't quite work and go back to how it used to be everyone seemed happy with that and the only small problem was one person updating a massive 'daily thread'

in fact it might be time to split the rafflecopters off too so have 3 daily stickies in the regs board

a mags daily thread
a RC daily thread
and a general daily thread

with all comps posted on the main board as previously

hopefully CP wil be happy to keep the mags daily thread but if not, thanks for all of your hard work CP :T and we'll need a couple of volunteers
