Best deal on Iphone 5c?

I know this maybe asked alot, and i am contacting my current provider o2 to see what they can do, but basically I need to upgrade.

My situation is that I have been with O2 since July 2008 as they had the first iPhone 3G - i then upgraded to the Iphone 4 (however many years ago when it came out!)

I am still on this but as iOS etc move on, my phone is extremely sluggish and crashes so its time to upgrade. I am on a monthly contract £16.50 - 50 mins/unlimited texts on O2

Now as the iPhone is available on many providers, can i jump ship and port my number?

I am out of contract (probably by 2 years?!) and just drift as its a low tarriff, however its just my phone thats slow. So an iPhone 5c would be a huge jump :)

I just need to know the best deal really.

Yes you can port your number but before you jump ship you should find out which networks give you good coverage as theres no point on getting a big contract with someone else if the signal is rubbish ;)

Try using the comparison section on here to look at the deals ...

I have an iPhone 4 with IOS 7 it's working beautifully, never crashes.
As soon as IOS7 appeared on it I turned off the fancy animation and 3D features mind you. Maybe you just need to do a complete reset and re-install and your iPhone 4 will feel like new.

Also note: Rumours are out that Apple are bringing their quite generous trade-in scheme to the UK - ideal for deals where you own the phone.

[ edit ] oh it's here - up to £175 for an old iPhone

The trade in offer is already here
    http://store.apple.com/uk/browse/reuse_and_recycle

And I can recommend IOS 7 on an iPhone 4, only catch is, if your phone memory is quite full with songs, photos, you will need a laptop or PC to do the upgrade with. In iTunes, make sure you do a backup before doing the update.

Once done, update all your apps to bring them up to IOS 7 level.

Having said all that, I just did an Apple quote on a pristine, unlocked iPhone4 and it was just £100. Could get a fair bit more on Ebay. This seems to be cash value rather than trade in. Perhaps 'someone will be along in a moment' to explain if you get more dosh on an Apple trade in, like you would with a car.

Just found out that the 'Apple' recycle scheme is being run by Dataserv - a standard used phone purchasing co. So I don't have a bargepole long enough to touch that with.

@Apple UK, how about offering something with your own reputation behind it!

Ok so it looks like T-mobile can offer " Iphone 5C 16 Gb for £21.99 per month with one time contribution of just £209.99 on 24 months contract. In which you will get 250 minutes to any network ( Mobile and Land line ) + Unlimited Text & Internet."

Also yes i need to know the best Buy back price for iPhone 4 handset

I will also try my provider to see if O2 offer a better upgrade deal.
